Day 41-42 South Central Vietnam - Nha Trang

The next night bus was even crazier!

They over sold the bus so one girl had to stay on the floor and the driver kicked off with her boyfriend because she got a mat that was supposed to be for the other driver.

We all passed her blankets and cushions though so the floor looked pretty comfy in the end. In 13 hours, I managed to sleep for about half of 1.

We were staying at True Friends Inn, in the same hostel as Emma (who we spent some time with in Hoi An), who'd arrived a day or two days earlier.

We ate at a local street food place around the corner and had our nicest fresh fruit juice so far. There's quite a lot of it here!

We had a walk along the beach and spent an hour or two there.

We'd heard the beaches here were nice and they were, it was just a shame how much rubbish there was.

There were a number of interesting objects we found along the way..including light bulbs and various dead animals.

There was also a huge washed up rat but I'll spare you that one!

Emma took us to a local place that she found, so we had a nice lunch there.

Then we found half a bottle of rum in the bush.

WARNING (and apologies to dad, Grandad etc....) we of course would never condone drinking anything that you're unsure of..
But this was the same rum we'd been drinking in Hoi An, so we did a number of smell and taste tests.. and when we didn't die or feel funny hours after our first small bit .. we decided to shot the rest and lived to tell the tale..hooray!

We ate a delicious chicken kebab from a street vendor.. I've not seen them anywhere else yet but for some reason they're all just immense here!

There was a beach party, at a place called the Sailing Club, that was pretty pricey to get in.

So we bought more rum and mixers and just danced next to it on the beach. We saw other people we'd met whilst travelling and met some lovely Russian girls.. within an hour or two we had a great little group on the beach!

Nha Trang is full of Russian people. Many menu's and signs have Vietnamese, then Russian as their second language. The girls we met didn't like that so they said they'd prefer to be with us instead.

We figured the beach party looked pretty good after all.. so we all snuck in. And it was amazing!

The DJ was brilliant and everyone was having a good time.

I propped a girl up and walked her to the bar for some water because she was wasted. So her boyfriend bought me two drinks.

After lots of dancing and plenty of rum, we were all belting out Wonderwall at the front of the dancefloor with a great group of people!

Eventually, Emma got kicked out, so we went to 'Why Not Bar' where we had a great time too.

The next day, we went to VinPearl Land. It was £15 so we decided it was way too pricey at first but we were told to definitely go.

And we were so glad we did!

It's officially called a water park. But it's way more than just that.

To get to it.. you have to get a gondola over the sea..

After a few hours on the water slides, we went to the beach..

Then the aquarium..

Then some rides..

And finished off in the arcade.

Everything is included in the £15. So we all agreed it's definitely worth it.

Spinning around water slides and swimming in the sea is a pretty good hangover cure too.

We finished the day with 'Sit Up Club', 'Ass Class', and 'Ladders and Limbs' at the hostel.

We all decided to try to keep fit whilst we're away, so sometimes we have little mini classes in the dorms.

Most of the time other people join in if they're there. Other times, they look at us like we're weirdos. Which is probably often true.

We skyped mum on Mother's Day which was nice!

To end Nha Trang on a bit of a bummer (no pun intended).. I went upstairs to collect some clean clothes.. and my bikini bottoms and knickers had been stolen!

A girls bra had gone a day or two earlier as well. So it seems there's either a pervert or a lady with a very full underwear draw on the loose.

Next stop.. Mui Ne!
