Day 1 - Auckland

So once we arrived, we were spending the first night in Auckland, which is the biggest city in New Zealand.

We hired a car, which was way too small for us and the windowscreen wiper switch is where our indicator normally is, so we kept putting the wipers on instead of signalling the right way.

We headed to our first hostel but we could only get 3 beds instead of 5.. it turns out we happened to arrive on the same weekend an Eminem concert and a huge rugby match were on so everywhere was booked up..

So we had to just sneak everyone In. Marie and Jack galiantly took the floor and didn't remind us about it not even once. Ahem.

We explored a little and then made fahitas and the juiciest corn ever!

We also had some 'no label' wine.. in NZ if the winerys make over the amount they're selling to manufacturers they leave the fancy label off the rest and then sell it cheaper... and it's beautiful... happy days!

It was here we discovered our love for 'flat whites' .. which we will be having quite a lot of in the next few day! If you have a large one, it comes in a soup bowl.
