Day 6

There is a million things to say each day and I could easily write a whole post on each thing but that would be mega boring for you guys.

Just bear with..'cos it is mega hard condensing when I'm so excited about it all ha!

So we started by driving to Waimarama beach. I was driving and it's so cool driving here because the roads are so clear and bendy!

On the way back we stopped at Craggy Range vineyard and a woman there gave us a winetasting session.. the wine was AMAZING! I was in my element. The best one was called Sophia too...obvs.

Then we had tea and wine on the balcony...

Then we headed into Napier. There was an earthquake here in 1931 and since then everywhere in the town has remained in an art deco theme. Each year they have a huge art deco weekend, which is the biggest weekend of the year and happens to be when we're here.

Then when we got back we had more wine.

Day 5 - "The Adrenaline Day"

We started the day by heading to Roturua Skyline Luge

You get a gondola up real high until you can literally see the whole of Rotorua lake..

Then we went in luges all the way down, which is basically kinda like a sledge on concrete, you control the wheels using handles. It was awesome!!! Jack kept trying to bump us and fell out haha!

We stopped to look at hot mud springs on the way, which were insane!!

The temperate is so high underground it literally boils the mud and water so it's like a ginormous boiling mud bath! We said it's like something out of a James Bond film and Jack chose it as his ideal spot should he ever need to hide a body one day hahaa.

Then we started heading towards Taupo, stopping at Huka falls on the way.

We reunited with sams girlfriend Aurelie here.. We've not seen her for 7 months so that was nice!

Huka Falls were seriously one of the most incredible things I've ever ever seen in my life...

The water was so blue and SO powerful! The hydro electric stations on the river produce 15% of the whole energy in NZ. What the hell.

Then we got to Taupo, had a beer.........then went skydiving..

It was our present to mum for her 50th.

And it was awesome.

(Apologies about the mass of photos)...

Afterwards, we drove to Sam and Aurelies flat in Napier, where she'd put up buntin and welcome to NZ posters!

Then we obviously had more food and wine :)
